Dachshund Rescue of North America-Dachshund Rescue of North America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with one sole purpose — rescuing, rehabilitating and re-homing needy dachshunds and mostly dachshund mixes. It is a network of experienced rescue people throughout the United States and Canada who were previously doing rescue independently and realized the benefits of joining together and combining resources. 1n 2008, it placed 1009 dogs.
ASPCA- The ASPCA was the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. Its mission, as stated by its founder, Henry Bergh, in 1866, is “to provide effective means for the prevention of cruelty to animals throughout the United States.”
